What dates are the golden week in 2012 ? On which days will shops be closed in the month of May ? we want to go for shopping on 4th may.

Most shops maintain individual hours and closing days. But almost no shops close on weekends and on public holidays (except January 1). May 4 will be a national holiday, so you can expect all shops to be open.
