Japanese swords / Samurais? 2012/1/26 01:35
Where can I buy a souvenir samurai / Japanese sword in Tokyo aside from Oriental Bazaar?

You'll find quite a few of the souvenir shops along nakamisedori in Asakusa that sell souvenir swords.

If you're going to Asakusa, then there's a better place to buy a souvenir Samurai sword than Nakamise street.

Head down Nakamise right up to the Sensoji temple. Head to the left of the temple and go west to a small covered arcade street. There's a shop on the left that has hand made souvenir Samurai swords. There is a big variety of swords and different fittings. They are more expensive of course, much much nicer than the regular souvenir swords.
