hi

i would really like to see the shrimp fields. ÷ŠC˜V“V“úŠ±‚µ
1. will i see it in on 4th of april?
2. how do i go there? is there a bus else are taxi readily available?

Some information I picked up off several travel blogs, one of which is:

They spread it on the riverbank of Fuji-gawa (Fuji River) in Shizuoka. To get to the site mentioned in this blog, you go to Shin-fuji station on Shinkansen, then maybe a short taxi ride to "Fuji-gawa Ryokuchi Koen" (Fuji-gawa green park).

There is no guarantee that this will be done on the day you want to go - the weather on the day has to have been good (otherwise they won't go fishing for them), and the day has to be sunny too. Also they spread them out around 7am then put them away by around 2pm.

THere is a phone number that you can call (in the second paragraph below the Mt. Fuji photo), and you can listen to a recorded message to see if they will go fishing or not on that day.

The long link (that starts with http://map.yahoo.co.jp/) below the shrimp photo leads you to the map where they dry them out.
