Catching a movie in Tokyo/Kyoto/Hiroshima

I want to see at last one movie in theaters while Im in Japan in May. Any good/famous/original movie theaters not to be missed in Tokyo, Kyoto or Hiroshima?

Do you guys know if movies are in theaters for a long time in Japan? Theres some movies coming out in February and March Id like to see but I dont know if theyll still be in theaters in May.

Also, I guess American movies take a while to come to Japan, dont they?. Any chance Avengers will open in May there too?

Depends on the movie. Popular ones are shown longer and there's a chance they are still playing in May. Only way to know for sure is to check the listings closer to your travel time. Try movix or united cinema's websites for a better idea:

Again it depends on the movie. Most come out significantly later in Japan than in the rest of the world, however some of the big blockbusters are released concurrently to their US release.

Any chance Avengers will open in May there too?
