Best Asahi Brewery Tour location? 2012/4/15 08:12
Asahi is my favorite beer and I'm really keen to take one of the brewery tours this month when I go to Japan. I'm going to be in Tokyo and Osaka most of the time, so it looks like I could do either location in Osaka (Nishinomiya or Suita), Kanagawa or Ibaraki. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which one might be the best to check out? I'm leaning towards the two in Osaka because they're both right next to train stations which will make it much easier for me to find my way. However, I found a few websites that say the Nishinomiya location is no longer offering tours... is that true? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

All four factories seem to be offering tours, as far as I can tell from their website. I have no personal recommendation about which one, but going by the locations, I agree that the two in Kansai would be easier to get to.

For Nishinomiya:

For Suita:

They have the booking phone and fax numbers toward the bottom of the page (the big blue font in the center). They say please call if you need English-speaking guide for the tour, so you might try that? They do seem to have some scheduled days off, so you might call to inquire anyway.
