I have two of
quite well known maker
NORITAKE and NARUMI.
though I never tried to buy them, I see em oftenly when I visit some good restaulant.

Noritake and Narumi offers mainly western style tableware.
Tachikichi is another brand who offers more Japanese type of tableware.
You can find all these brands at department stores.
