The most comfortable is to take a direct Kintetsu limited express trains from Namba to Shiroko Station (2 hours, 3030 yen), from where it is a 15 minute bus ride to the circuit. However, these trains are likely to be very popular during the race weekend and might be booked out well in advance. It is not possible to make reservations in English from overseas, but if you can read Japanese, you could do them online here:

(a Japanese address may also be necessary)

Alternatively, you could travel by slower express trains for which reservations are not possible. Or you could travel by JR via Nagoya.

Thank you for your advice - as we are staying near Namba Station this would be our best option.

Even when the direct LTD Exp. is booked out, you can ride faster type of LTD Exp. from Namba to Tsu station (capital of Mie prefecture) and then express train from Tsu to Shiriko station.

If you travel by Kintetsu Railways Kintetsu you might consider the Kintetsu Rail Pass. For 3700 you have 3 rides on Kintetsu Ltd. Exp. and 5 days of use of the Kintetsu Railway and Iga Railway.
Without the Pass the round trip costs 6060Y in LTD. EXP. and 3500 by express train.
