Shipping dry goods back to Singapore

Hi, I will be in japan for a holiday for 2 weeks and would want to buy back as much of my favorite japanese snacks or local goods as I can. Is there anyway I can consolidate and ship them back for a reasonable rate instead of dragging them with me to the airport or all around hokkaido. Best is if i can pack them nicely in a carton and ship them back. Since they are dry goods, i would not mind if it takes long time to reach Singapore.
If not practical, is there anyway I can get a carton in Japan so that at least I can check it in nicely in my return flight.
Also is it possible/practical to buy whole melon and ship or carry it back to Singapore as omiyage?
Thanks! =^.^=
