Tokyo / Kyoto Flea Markets 2012/8/22 00:47
Are there any true flea markets in Tokyo and/ or Kyoto? By that I mean markets selling mostly second hand goods rather than new items, the kind that might be considered bric-a-brac or car boot sale or charity shop type stuff.

On reading, it seems that the Ueno market is not really what I'd call a flea market, selling mostly snacks and cheap (new) goods.

We are in Tokyo for one Sunday and in Kyoto for another, would be good to know if such markets exist?

Thanks

Kyoto;
Chion-in (http://www.chion-in.or.jp/e/info.html) has a market on the 15th of each month (www.tedukuri-ichi.com)

Toji Temple (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3919.html) has one on the 21st of each month. I believe this is considered one of the best 2 regular markets in Japan.
