Thank you for posting your photos. I enjoyed seeing them all. You used some interesting post-processing on some of them too.

Glad you enjoyed your trip!

Hah, die Sendung mit der Maus in Japan. Who would have thought. Does that even still exist in Germany? I wonder what the ad says.

And the pro at work removing the spine of a tuna fish with a large knife; well, large is an understatement. Looks like he stole the masamune of Sepiroth :D

And some really interesting shots. Looks like I should finally read the instruction manual for my camera and take it out of idiot mode.

Thank you for the pictures.

Thanks for your comments.

Yes actually Die Sendung is still on tv. (but they are re-runs of the show) I grew up with it, although i'm not even german. But always been a fan of the program and very educational for children. Nowadays we have programs like "how it's made" or "How do they do it" on Discovery but back then those things came from programs like Die Sendung Mit Der Maus. WDR even has an online shop that sells Maus stuff, it's amazing.

Could you elaborate on your comment?

"Relying just on public transport at night in Japan is something to not take lightly "

Trains not on time or overfilled or something?

I meant that the metro in tokyo, such a big city, operates untill 0:30, after that you are stranded, and walking or taxi is your only option, and taxi drivers know that... You'll pay an extra fee after midnight.

I have to say, this is one of the best Japan tourist photostreams I've ever seen. You have an excellent eye for composition and clearly the tech skills to match. Great job!
