Hey guys, I was wondering what you do if you have the name of a country. Like, say you have the name England, as in the country, how would you translate that? Would you say 英国 or something like イングランド ?
Sorry if I translated that katakana wrong, I've only ever romanized words, XD

The names of countries already have Japanese translations. You do not need to invent them yourself - look them up on the Internet or a reference book.
Why would Japanese be different from any other language in this respect?

No, I mean like a personal name. Like if a person's surname was the name of a country.
