never heard of it.
Just avoid ARC Academy, their lessons are sooooooooooo slow. I took their beginner course and by 3 months you learn 30 kanji and you don't even finish the first Minna no Nihongo textbook (only lesson 17/25).

From Nisshinkyo's website I can confirm that they are an accredited school, but what course is that fee offered for?

I imagine that that fee (10,000 yen a week) is either for a non-full-time course, or just an introductory fee to entice students. Comparing schools from Nisshinkyo's school listing, they have far less students than other schools in the area. http://www.nisshinkyo.org/Hit "ENGLISH" on the upper-left corner, and check out "Information about Japanese Language schools."
