Gingko/Ginkgo Tea 2012/12/14 01:03
I have heard the ginkgo/gingko (sorry about spelling) is good for concentration and memory. Having such diseases in my family often leading to these symptoms it would be a great way to try to avoid this when growing older so, is there any gingko tea or something that can be bought in Japan? I have never seen it in stores over here too bad.

You should be able to find it in any large drug store. Ask for "Ichocha". Be careful they may take you to the digestive medication section because ICHO 胃腸 (digestive system) and ICHO 銀杏 are homonymous in sound.

If you can't find it in a store, go to rakuten or some other virtual mall. Here's the English version of Rakuten and the URL is a search result of "ginkgo". I got about 4800 results.

Recently almost all drug-stores sell いちょう葉/イチョウ葉 (icho-ha; leaves of Gingko) in Japan as Harry Takeuchi said.

Like this.

BTW, I have heard that
Gingko tested and proved useful of the medicinal virtues in German/Deutschland
, but tea have no effect...
