When do the shops start selling sakura themed stuff usually? I would be in Japan till mid-March and I am afraid I would not be able to buy preserved sakura leaves.

Preserved sakura leaves are sold in the corner for 'ingredients for confectionary' at big supermarkets and department stores.
Cuoca is a shop offering wide range of ingredients. One of their shops is Mitsukoshi department store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. (B2F)
