Hiking around Fuji Five Lake region 2013/1/5 23:15
We are going to Japan during April 2013.
My traveling companion wants to hike in the Mt Fuji region. We realise that April is not the climbing season.

We plan to do the Hakone Round Course the day before so we can dedicate at least an entire day for the Mt Fuji region

Can any one suggest a source of information for hiking tours or self guided hiking around this region and/or the lakes?

Thanks.

I searched for detailed maps but could only find maps for climbing Mt Fuji.

For the Mitsutoge-yama hike which is one hike we would be interested in, I found this, but would prefer more detail.

The other hike we are interested in is the Panorama-dai trail.

My Japan Lonely Planet guide mentions that maps can be acquired from Kawaguchi-ko tourist information centre, but it would be good to be able to download something prior to traveling.
