We are a small group in Camp Zama Japan and we are having a Chinese new year Party for Feb 2013.
where can we rent a costume or performers for Lion Dance?

You might find that lion and unicorn (not dragon)performers are highly demanded and pre- booked for Lunar Chinese New Year.
If you are committed, approach the Chinese associations or restaurants/shops in Motomachi-Chūkagai on feasibility in finding these troupes in Kanto. or you can walk around evenings in these areas to listen for the familiar drum beats end of January as many part time seasonal teams will be practicing their acts (likely indoors).
