Could someone help translate this vase? 2013/1/23 11:57
Okay I recently got a vase from an auction and I'm trying to find out who made it. I have no idea how to read Japanese and these aren't exactly simple symbols I can easily find online.
Here's a link to pictures.

I would really appreciate any help with this.

What I see is:

@@
@@??

Written top to bottom, right to left, so the and the one I cannot decipher is the name, and the left two says "ceramics/pottery," so the second part of the company/kiln name I assume. The font is so artistic I cannot decipher the right bottom one.

Maybe...?

p

p(bijutsu) means "art".
If so, it means "artistic ceramics/pottery"...

Or brandname like this?

I found a ceramic vase on Rakuten auction.

He said "p JAPAN written in the bottom".

I believe it is p. So it is simply means Art Pottery.
No value as a tourist souvenir item.

Thanks for the help. I found out it was an item commissioned in the 70s by a U.S. company and its pretty much worthless sadly. Oh well but thanks again.
