Is this vase jappenese?

Hello I have a vase about 5" tall and I apologize I do not know if it is jappenese or Chinese. It has two marks on the bottom. The designs on the vase are indentations that have been painted a lighter shade of green. I do not see on here how to add a picture. Thank you, David.
