abashiri - nice local food

Hi, is there any recommendation for good local food in Abashiri? I googled and Tripadvisor recommend the restaurant in the prison. Is there any other recommendation?

Abashiri is known for crab and seafood I guess. The Abashiri Tourist Office located next to the station was very helpful when I was there. I would try and ask them and see if they have any suggestions when you arrive.

We just wandered the streets in the evening and found a place that looked busy and smelt good. It was mid-winter so a lot of the restaurants did not have really good displays outside so it was kind of luck of the draw but we found a really nice yakiniku place which we enjoyed.

Hmm, i presume the JR station and bus terminal is at the same location?
