I think the common ones are Genki, and Japanese for Busy People.

There are also a number of online resources like Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese

I highly recommend "Yookoso: An Introduction to Contemporary Japanese." Some people find it too hard, but I think it has the best explanations for grammar.
