Just read his comment again, he clearly said naturalization process for indian is one year, for others its two years,
@kabuki26, He didnt use the word case, he clealy said INDIAN, rather the INDIVINDUAL case.

Well you should have some decency while making any comment. Well he said what he has experienced. I have Indian friends who are waiting for the result for more than 1 year which means every case is different irrespective of country. Wonder you belong to which country.

kabuki26 told me that he did not submit renunciation certificate, then after that i said that maybe it takes about one year for Indian nationals. so, what is wrong with my opinion.
or you (JSPR1) are just jealous from Indians. anyway, you should not be angry and keep calm.

Hi Everyone,

I think citizenship process is always different for each person. And country as well. When I was consulting to homekyoku they said it may take 4 or 5 years also if they want to verify some documents from home country and home country is not very responsive. In case they take very long. Like some African always delay in response. Some country requires renounce certificate and depending on getting the certificate duration change. No country is superior to them.
Waiting for interview and result is very frustrating. Letfs hope for best. Good luck to everyone waiting for interview like me or waiting for result . Cheers

Have you receive your Koseki tohan, what the process to make passport after that?

Yes, I got the Koseki tohon. Initially, City hall guy told me 7-10 days but I called city hall after 4 days and he told me to pick it up from the city hall . You can apply for the passport at city hall as soon as you receive the Koseki tohon. It will take 5 days to receive the passport. I will get it this Friday. 10 years passport will cost 16,000JPY. I applied on December 2021, and my interview was on February 2022, after my interview the person working there insisted on calling my company to ask them about me, although I heard this was not necessary to do especially I did not inform anyone that I am getting nationalized, please share if you have similar experience,
I am waiting since then and no reply from homukyoku, do you think I should call them and ask, could anyone share their experience please

Itfs normal if they call the company you are working for . Itfs fine also if ur company donft know you are applying for naturalization. You should not call them as they always say you donft have to check the status of application while applying. You better wait till December. Most of the case take a year average.
