Re: Buying Nintendo Switch in Tokyo 2017/4/23 10:53
Manage to buy one set at akihabara softmap store, is not on the shelves, you have to ask the staff at lvl 2 counter, remember to ask for tax free payment. Limited set left I assume, I only saw one box of Nintendo switch, as of 10am when I left.

Sofmap beside sega game shop (big red building) however when I try to purchase 2nd set for my wife but they said sold out, I asked my wife to go in alone and try to buy but still they said sold out, whereby the next counter there's Japanese making payment for the switch, I guess they have quota for selling to foreigner and local.

Found a shop in akihabara selling at 37000 yen before tax free, grey set, only 1 set available. Not sure what's the shop name is but it had a colorful signboard, small anime shop. Roughly remember where it was, the same stretch as the street shop selling wiring just next to traffic light crossing.

Re: Buying Nintendo Switch in Tokyo 2017/4/24 12:29
24700 yens all? That seems far too low! Did you get any additional discounts apart from the 8% tax free?

TOKIS in Akihabara had 20 I got one for about 460$usd or whatever the basic price for the colored ones is

Re: Buying Nintendo Switch in Tokyo 2017/4/24 18:03
Tokis akihabara definitely got a few, but the price is 52000yen.
Not worth buying since the price difference is small compared to the price in my home country.
Labi shimbashi already sold out, I only got 1 day left to look around the city.
If i couldn't find it then the last place will be haneda airport bic

Re: Buying Nintendo Switch in Tokyo 2017/4/24 18:12
Fix: it's 42000yen at tokis, still pretty expensive though
