COE processing times

My COE arrived today!! App submitted Nov. 21. Company's shipping it now and it should arrive in a few days. Huge sigh of relief.

Hi guys, I submitted my application 9th December to the Kanazawa office, as HSP but still waiting, any one submitted to Kanazawa office ?

Place : Osaka Immigration Bureau

Coe Application : Dependent (wife + kids) - for 2 years

My visa : Student with scholarship + working

Submission Date : 9 Dec 2022

I plan to be back home country this coming feb due to 2months vacation. At the same time to bring the coe (if any) and apply at the origin country embassy. Didnt get any calls yet for additional documents.

Does anyone ever make it in Osaka? How long does it takes? I know it may differ but pls gimme hope. Thank you.

@Adam, yes my company did last year through Osaka for HSP and it took a bit over a month.

I just wanted to share my experience for reference. I sent my documents to my company�fs HR. And they sent me an email saying they got my documents and that they will prepare for the coe application next week. It was on november 22nd. So i assume they applied for my coe during november.

I've often heard that a lot of people said that Tokyo Immigration CoE Processing is 3-6 months. However, the website said it takes 1-3 months. What actually happened? Can I say that if CoE Processing is more than 3 months it is because of lack of documents or something?

My COE applied at Nov 24 almost 3 months but till waiting.

Applied on the 25th November for an engineering CoE, so far no news.

My father a Child of Japanese applied COE for me and my husband. He submitted all the requirements last November 15, 2022 and until now January 18, 2023 we still haven't received any updates. Will reply to this thread once we received ours. Good Luck to all of us ❤️

My lawyer got the COE today ! :D

My company submitted docs mid-august 2022 for SSW visa at Nagoya immigration Shizouka branch.its been 5months , and still havent recieve COE. The company responds "only wait" but how long?

My company made me submit a lot of documents from the get go. I guess that helps?

I wanted to share my exp

Visa type : dependent of Student (for my wife and son)

Application by myself in Osaka Immigration Bureau at 5 December 2022.

CoE received at 6 January 2023 in my dorm's mailbox.

I was helped by the support office of my university to fill out it. Also I attached additional document which is my JP Post Bank passbook copy (your country's bank book can be used also, said my friend).
