COE processing times

Incoming graduate student at a designated national university in Tokyo.
Entrance ceremony is on 4/8/23.

Submitted COE application to the university around 12/23/22.
University mailed out COE application to immigration on 1/12/23 (Delay due to new year's holiday).
Received notice by university that they received my issued COE from immigration.
Now waiting for my COE to arrive, then I can apply for the student visa at the embassy via mail.

I should have plenty of time to get the visa before my flight to Tokyo from the US on 4/4/23. Yes, I booked my flight far in advance and the gamble paid off.

Clarification: When I said I "Submitted COE application to the university around 12/23/22.", I meant that that was when I mailed it out to them. It probably took 4-7 days for it to actually arrive.

One more clarification: I got the notification that my university received my COE from immigration today, which is 2/24/23.

My wife apply my COE in Tokyo immigration on feb 22 2023 . Now worst pain is going on let see when it will come now 🙏🙏

Lacking documents sent by mail and arrived there: January 30,2023

How much time will coe issue additional documents has been submited my lawyer said to me this week immigration will answer but no one response

Finally got my COE today!

Incoming grad student at designated national university in Tokyo. Classes start in April.
-Mailed out my COE application to the university on Dec 23, 2022.
-University mailed out my COE application to Immigration on Jan 12, 2023. (Delay due to new year's -holiday)
-University notified me that they received my COE from Immigration on Feb 24, 2023.
-Finally got my COE in the mail on Mar 2, 2023 (today).

I plan to mail out my student visa application today, and hope to get my visa in a week.

It means « CoE delivery (receipt) ».

Thnx dear ur from which country im from pakistan how many more days to issue coe for me my lawyer submit additional documents to immi dept 20 days are gone

@Masee Only immigration staff and God knows the answer.

In my case, last January 23, I sent additional documents. then today just got news from immigration that COE will be sent in 2 weeks.
