COE processing times

Anybody who are waiting for coe applied after 2023-1-1 under working visa ?

My employer applied in Dec 14th 2022, still no news till now.

Normally the CoE process takes 1 to 3 months, like a student visa. But for a working visa it can take from 1 to 6 months. Even my friend said that for an SSW visa in the construction sector it could take up to 1 year to process it.

I want to know what is the time for COE acceptance for Tokyo Metropolitan Goverment's Startup Visa Program.

Dec 25 2022 new year holiday to 9 jan 2023 just wait for the result be patient

Lacking documents sent by mail and arrived there: January 30,2023
Received mailed for additional documents :March 8,2023
Sent an additional documents: March 13,2023

Finally I got good news form my lawyer. My COE has been issued !!
Now I'm waiting for the COE to be sent from Japan to Indonesia.

Visa type : SSW
Tokyo regional immigration bureau
Documents submitted date : 15/09/2022
Additional documents submitted date : 24/01/2023
COE issued date : 09/03/2023
Sending COE documents from Japan : 13/03/2023
Estimated document arrived in Indonesia : 17-20/03/2023
The total processing time is approximately 186 days (≈ 6 months and 5 days)

Has anyone applied for spouse COE at yokohama district immigration office? How much time does it take? I have applied for my wife on 28th Feb,2023. I have heard that this particular branch process applications comparatively fast.

yes, My lawyer said too that Yokohama branch process applications comparatively fast.
and also actually no one can tell the exact COE processing time as is different from application to application. some are fast as 2-3 weeks and some will take far as 6 months. but for depend visa COE most of the time will come before 3 months.
I believe its depend on clarity of your summited documents and your LUCK.

Any one received currently COE of Tokyo as cook visa since 12/12/2022 I applied in cook visa until today date 15/03/2023 93 days still I am waiting

I just got my approval today!

I Applied on Feb 6th and arrived in the mail on Mar 15th.

I applied at the Tokyo office
-Dependent Visa for my Wife (Married in January of 2023)
-I am on an Intracompany Transferee visa
-She was approved for 2 years and some months first try!

Not sure if this helps anymore either but I was told by our law team that has an immigration specialist that if you make over 10.8 million yen your visa goes to a faster approval lane, as well as your dependent will always get a visa time that is equal to the time you have left on your current visa.

@Amrit Kc. I am waiting too for same COE type. Submitted online 12 Jan. As per my agency it is still under screening. Although, they did mention that agency received the completion notice of some applications filed on 1st week of Jan. Hopefully, you will also be receiving the approval soon.
