COE processing times

application submitted: 7th feb 2023 at sendai Immigration
Visa type : professor
Questionnaire about my details was asked : 13th Feb 2023
Filled Questionnaire was submitted: 28th Feb 2023.
When the sponsor enquired the status of coe on 27th April the immigration people informed that it can take 3 more months.

Is my application rejected? Does anyone have encountered such situation. I am really worried. Please reply.

My current situation:

Type of visa: engineer/5y
Date of application: last week of March (company applied for me) -> let's just say 31/03/23
Update from company: 06/04/23 -> company says immigration office is suffering delays
Expected start of contract: 01/06/23

Still waiting, although I think I shouldn't consider my COE as "delayed" until en of May hehe

Dose any one know about the currently COE processing time of Tokyo Imm coz since December 12 2022 I will applied as cook visa but still not respond,

There is no Inquiry from imm and not asking any additional Documents, Any probability Received COE

4 month and 16 days waiting time is very and wishing all of you Get your COE asap god will be Great.

Anyone who has himself or whose lawyer applied for the COE through the Immigration Online Residency System and added the Applicant as an Email Recipient? After the Application Examination is completed, do you receive an email directly from Immigration? [(Just like the Emails when the application is accepted (example: Notice of Application Acceptance Number)]
If yes, have you received the Completion Email before the COE is dispatched?
I am kind of confused about this point, kinda dumb question.

y’all are they issuing COEs during golden week? idk if i should put my waiting anxiety on hold for a week haha

I am about to submit the dependent COE, and I want to know if I need to add stamp in COE submission for japan post to send the COE to my address, or just fill my Email address to receive via mail.

Which one is faster to receive the COE as per your experiences?

i haven't received the COE yet, but i would think the email would be faster so you don't have to wait for the post?

@dependentanon I think that is only for COE applications submitted after March 17th, but i am not quite sure. Will ask my sponsor about it since it has been over 2 months and I have gotten no news.

To everyone: Is it truth that no news (like if they don't ask for the questionnaire or for additional documents) is good news?

@User companies HQs are in Yokohama, but i will not be working at Yokohama though. Chances are they applied in Yokohama, but I'm not 100% sure.

84 day past yet no news for my coe. Business manager visa can anybody tell how long more it might takes? Waiting is killing.

COE status: Received 08/05/23
Time: 87 days

The wait was anxiety inducing, and I probably have to wait longer because they misspelt my middle name by one letter.
