Travel Highlights 2025
This year brought a mix of travel and filming, along with many chances to explore new places around japan, many of which focused on different parts of Hiroshima and Gunma Prefecture. I also started working more with social media, which has been an interesting challenge. These moments stood out as fun experiences that added a bit of variety to the year.
#8: Ehime - Iyo Matsuyama Castle & Dogo Onsen
I am always looking for opportunities to see somewhere new. One of those trips took me to Ehime, where I visited Iyo Matsuyama Castle as part of the Top Ten Castles video project, followed by a stop at Dogo Onsen, known as Japanfs oldest bathhouse. It was a beautiful and memorable trip and the onsen was lovely.

#7: Kyoto - teamLab Biovortex
As part of a social media project in Kyoto, I visited teamLab Biovortex. It was my first teamLab experience, and I was really amazed by it. I spent time filming and taking part in a press tour, and being able to roam the venue freely before it opened made it one of my top experiences this year.

#6: Gunma - Oze National Park
Visiting Oze National Park in August was an unforgettable experience. While the lowlands were hot, the mountains offered a refreshing breeze that made exploring really enjoyable. Walking through the marshlands and taking in the surrounding nature felt peaceful and refreshing, a perfect escape from the summer heat.

#5: Sweden
I spent my summer vacation back in my home country, Sweden with family, and it was exactly the break I needed. We spent long days around the Stockholm archipelago enjoying the sea and quiet islands, and also did some fun water activeties. I also went into the forest to pick chanterelle mushrooms, which is something I really look forward to every time i go to Sweden. It was a simple trip but full of happy moments with family.

#4: Gunma - Shima Onsen
I took a daytrip to Shima Onsen in fall, which had been high on my wishlist this year. The town was stunning with the trees in full autumn color, and the calm rivers and old ryokan buildings made the visit really special.

#3: Hiroshima - Rabbit Island
I traveled to Hiroshima and then continued on to Okunoshima, where I spent time meeting the islandfs curious and very friendly rabbits. I also stayed at Nipponia in nearby Takehara in a old but beautifully renovated hotel building. The combination of peaceful nature and historic buildings made the whole trip feel memorable.

#2: Gunma - Ikaho Onsen
On a family trip during fall, I visited yet another onsen town in Gunma Prefecture. Ikaho was beautiful during sunset and the many cute lightbulbs hanging along its long outdoor stone staircase made it very cozy.
#1: Hiroshima - Sandankyo
On a recent film trip through Hiroshima Prefecture, I had the chance to film at Sandankyo, a scenic quasi national park. Flying my drone along the gorge and over the riverbed was a really enjoyable experience. On film trips, using the drone to capture views that a regular camera canft reach is one part of the job I really enjoy. Sandankyo is my favorite spot this year!
