There were many patches of glorious color, but many trees still remain green. If you are planning to visit, remember:
1. It is chilly - wear appropriate clothing
2. Try to pick a non-overcast day
3. Last entry to temples is 3:30pm

One of the things i love about Japan is their sensitivity to nature, and their effort to incorporate nature into their daily life - as a sign of respect. Cold and tired, we stumbled into a warm, cozy cafe called Sogen. It was more like having coffee in an artist's home! It started to rain and In the end, our host ended up driving us to the train station In His Car. Yes - In His Car! hahaha! What an incredible, heart-warming gesture... :) Incredible people, the Japanese!!
