August 12, 2017 - Trip to Kadogawa in Miyazaki-ken [Mukai ga hama, beach]
Mukaigahama is the biggest beach in Kadogawa and it is the only section of the coast that is actually sandy. There are no lifeguards and swimming is not allowed, but people come to walk and fish here. On clear days the sea turns a beautiful blue and you can see from Iorigawa on the north side of the bay to Hyuga on the south. There is a path in the pine trees just above the sea wall and this is one of the nicest places to walk in Kadogawa. The houses above are all but invisible and you can wander through the thin strip of forest feeling as though you are hundreds of miles from civilization.
