The following is a suggested itinerary for first time travelers to Japan who spend 10 days, 9 nights in the Kanto Region around Tokyo.

Day 1 - Arrive at Narita Airport

Day 6 - Kamakura Daytrip

Undertake a one day trip to Kamakura, one hour south of Tokyo.

Day 7 - Yokohama Daytrip

Undertake a one day trip to Yokohama, 30 minutes south of Tokyo.

Day 8-9 - Hakone

Purchase a 2-day Hakone Free Pass and use it to take a two day trip to Hakone. Stay at a ryokan and experience a Japanese hot spring. Avoid weekends.

Day 10 - Depart from Narita Airport
