On July 7, 2026, Noto Satoyama Airport was transformed into Noto Satoyama Pokemon With You Airport as part of a tourism campaign aimed at supporting the recovery of the Noto Peninsula following the devastating 2024 earthquake. One of Japan's smallest regional airports, it is served by just two daily round trips with Tokyo's Haneda Airport. The collaboration is scheduled to continue through September 2029.

The Noto Peninsula was struck by a powerful earthquake on New Year's Day 2024, causing extensive damage across the region. Recovery has been slow, partly because of the remote peninsula's large, sparsely populated area and an ongoing shortage of workers. The Pokemon Company and the Pokemon With You Foundation, which have supported other disaster-affected regions, are participating in the initiative to help attract visitors back to Noto.

The airport itself has been decorated with Pokemon-themed artwork throughout the terminal. Visitors will also find themed meals and drinks at the airport restaurant, while the souvenir shop offers a dedicated Pokemon section featuring exclusive merchandise.

The project extends beyond the airport. Pokemon-themed attractions have been installed at several locations across the peninsula, including a foot bath in Wakura Onsen, statues at the famous Senmaida rice terraces, Mitsukejima, a rock island that partially collapsed in the earthquake, and the "World's Longest Bench", as well as a decorated train and themed decorations at stations along the Noto Railway.

Travelers can easily combine several of these attractions into a trip around the peninsula. The Noto Railway operates a Pokemon-themed train to Anamizu, where a Pokemon-themed bus provides direct access to the airport. Rental cars are also available at major railway stations in the region, making it convenient to explore the peninsula independently.
