Aomori (ÂXŒ§, Aomori-ken) is the northernmost prefecture on Japan's main island Honshu. Prefectural capital is Aomori City. The former regional capital city, Hirosaki, offers a nice castle which becomes a major cherry blossom viewing spot each spring.
