Cherry Blossom forecast in Yoshino? 2013/3/26 23:56
Hi everyone, unfortunately I won't be arriving into Tokyo until April 2nd, and then heading to Kyoto April 7th. Does anyone know what the cherry blossom forecast is like for Yoshino? I've heard it's usually later than the rest of Kyoto and Osaka, and it would be great to see the cherry blossoms. They bloomed so early this year but I hope to see them in Yoshino.

Or if you have any other tips on where to see cherry blossoms during my time there, I'd love to hear them. Thanks for the help

I think you will be able to see some of the blossoms in Kyoto on the 7th.

The Yoshino forecast is here together with other cities:

In more details, the town predicts the blossoms to open as follows:
Lower Senbon: April 3
Middle Senbon: April 5
Upper Senbon: April 8

And full bloom is predicted as follows:
Lower Senbon: April 9
Middle Senbon: April 11
Upper Senbon: April 14
