To get from Musashi Kosugi Station to Takasaki, you can either:

1)Take a local train on the JR Yokosuka Line to Tokyo Station and change to a Shinkansen (trip takes about 90 minutes and 5500 yen)

or

2)Take a direct train on the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line (about 130 mins and 2200 yen)

Go for option 1 if you have a JR Pass.

Maebashi from Takasaki, is a 15 min train ride on the JR Ryomo Line.
