Osaka is a major metropolis: not really a nature place. But it is great for food, bright lights, hustle and bustle, and shopping. We love Osaka. Mt Koya is unique: the journey there is beautiful, the temples are wonderful, Okunoin is ethereal, and it is an experience well worth contemplating. If you can at least do a day trip to Mt Kpya then definitely consider it: the World Heritage Pass is worthwhile. Enjoy!!
