Does anyone know the date of the Eiheiji Temple Lantern Festival this year (2013) please. It is in August sometime. Thanks.

On August 25, 2013, the festival takes place when large numbers of lanterns are put onto a river.

tokyonet, you are referring to the Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura. Am I missing something?

Hi everyone - thanks for your replies - much appreciated - it was not the lantern festival in Kamakura - but good to know about this one - but the one at Eiheji temple itself near Fukui - so the date of the 25th August 2013 posted by Uji is the one I was looking for.
