From Kumamoto to Amakusa

Please advise how can I get to Amakusa (dolphine watching) from Kumamoto? Is daily service ? Is JR Kyushu Rail Pass (Northern Kyushu) included?

Actually I would like to see dolphine in Amakusa and would prefer to make sure of JR Kyushu Rail Pass (Northern Kyushu), what is the best route to apply this ?

Can I travel on ' A Train ' to Misumi then ferry to Amakusa ?
