Accessing Kamikochi

So, we would like to visit Kamikochi from Tokyo, and then probably from Kamikochi go to Kyoto.

Does anyone know which bus companies operate between Tokyo and Kamikochi and which between Kamikochi and Kyoto?

Some links with bus timetables and prices would be highly appreciated.

It seems that August is a nightmare to find last minute bus tickets in Japan.

Alpico bus runs both routes. Looks like it costs about 6000 yen oneway on either route.

When are you trying to travel? There are only 3 buses per day and weekends and Obon holidays are pretty booked up, but if you are flexible you can probably get a weekday reservation. I checked and there seemed to be lots of openings.
