Bus between Sapporo and Jozankei onsen

I'll be going to Jozankei onsen in early Nov, departing from Sapporo.

Understand there's a KappaLiner

But the timing very limited.

Also found out there's a number 7 bus bound for Jozankei departing twice every hour, which is more flexible.

What's the difference between the 2 buses? For the number 7 bus, need to make reservation?

Last question, will there be snow in Jozankei in the first week of November?

Take local bus(by Jotetsu bus/Not non-stop) a lot
No booking 750Y/75min
