Nyuto Onsen to Oirase Stream

We're staying at Nyuto Onsen area and would like to check out Oirase Stream/Towadako.
Is it worth it after being at Lake Tazawa? If so, what's the best way to get there without a car? Is there a bus schedule?Domo...

Personally we find lake scenery better in Towada-ko than Tazawa-ko. And Oirase Stream is a highly worthwhile destination during autumn foliage season.

There are JR bus connections to Towada-ko via Oirase Stream from either Aomori or Hachinohe. From Hirosaki there is 1 daily bus to and from Towada-ko. Outside winter months on selected dates there is also bus connection from Towada-Minami rail station to Towada-ko.

Thanks. I'm trying to find a bus that goes from Nyuto Onsen to Lake Towada. It should be cheaer than the train. It looks so on the map, but was wondering if it's a bit too much changing of buses.
