Taxi from airport to Naritasan temple

We will arrive at airport about 8pm. We are staying the night at a ryokan just near Naritisan temple.
Is a taxi very expensive.
If we take a train to Keisei Narita station is it safe to walk the 20 minutes to our hotel at nighttime?

Why walk? Which hotel?
Local bus still operate until 11:00pm usual.

Keisei-Narita/JR Narita area is one of "bed town" of Tokyo mid area.
Not rural a lot of people living really safe.

Ask hotel about nearest bus stop and safe or not.

1) From Narita Airport to Naritasan Temple, the taxi fare is estimated about 3,500 yen and it takes about 20 minutes.

2) From Narita Airport to Keisei Narita Station by Keisei Electric Line, the ticket costs 250 yen and it takes 10 minutes.
And from Keisei Narita Station to Naritasan Temple, the taxi fare is estimated about 800 yen and it takes about 10 minutes.

3) I think it is safer to take a taxi because it is late in the evening.


Note: the above taxi fares are included in the mid-night fare 20% after 10pm.

Wonderful. We will take a train and a bus!
Maybe we will walk as we would like to see a little of the area. We only have one night in Narita and leave lunchtime the next day.
