I'd like to know if there are any nice onsens in the Kannawa district that are open to day trippers. Preferably within walking distance or a short bus ride from the Hells in the Kannawa district.

We recently enjoyed the baths in Hyotan
www.hyotan-onsen.com/english
Both inside and outside baths (rotemburo), sauna, sand bath, and opportunity to try steam cooking. There is a discounted entry fee if you come after 6 pm.
