Opening hours during Dec Hanatoro

My husband & I are arriving in Kyoto on Dec 23. We would like to catch the last day of the Hanatoro in Arashiyama, and combine it with Tenryu-ji, the bamboo groves, & Okochi-Sanso Villa. Unfortunately, our flight lands at 12.50pm, and by the time we check into the hotel in Hirashiyama and make our way to Arashiyama, it will probably be 4-5pm. I read that the temples and shops are open late during Hanatoro, but there is no indication of how late.
My question is: Does anyone know how late the temple and the villa stay open on Dec 23, and if it's feasible to rush to Arashiyama this late in the day?
