How to get from Yakushima to Hiroshima

Hi everyone,
I've booked a trip to Japan for October this year, and will be flying from Tokyo to Yakushima. I then wanted to travel from Yakushima on to Hiroshima. I think JAL used to do flights via Kagoshima, but that doesn't seem to be an option any more.
Can anyone help please with the fastest way to get from Yakushima to Hiroshima?

Indeed, there are no flights between Hiroshima and Kagoshima.
The fastest way is to take a direct flight from Yakushima to Fukuoka (1 hour) and then the shinkansen to Hiroshima (1 hour). Transfer from Fukuoka Airport to Fukuoka's Hakata Station takes about 45 minutes for a total travel time of around three hours from Yakushima Airport to Hiroshima Station.
