From Dazaifu to Nagasaki

I would arrive early morning in Fukuoka 8.30 and after 2 or 3 hours in town we would like to leave to Dazaifu. We would arrive there about 12.00-13.00. After Dazaifu we would like to stay overnight in Nagasaki. How should we travel from Dazaifu to Nagasaki? We have JR pass by the way.

Dazaifu is very close to Futsukaichi, whence you can take the JR Kamome Limited Express to Nagasaki. Dazaifu to Futsukaichi is not JR but costs only 150 yen. Check Hyperdia for the timings.

Or, there is a way to go from Dazaifu to Futsukaichi JR station by bus. It is 400 yen in this case. I think because it is about 1,500 yen If you take a taxi to the same interval, if you're a group of 3-4 persons, cost is the same as the bus's almost.
