FujiQ Highland from Hakone area? 2014/4/23 03:10
Is it possible to travel to FujiQ Highland resort on public transport from Hakone area, we are thinking of branching off from Gotemba Outlet Malls while using our Hakone Free Pass (3 day).
If not, how easy, and expensive, is it to hire a car for a day? (Full UK licence)
Thanks in advance.

Yes, from Gotemba you can take a bus to Kawaguchiko and then a train to the park. It is fully covered by the pass. More info here:

I have the same opinion about going by bus to Fuji-Q Highland from Gotemba, but for the Pass, there is a different opinion.
If you use the Hakone Free Pass, you will not be able to go only up to Gotemba. It is another charge to Fuji-Q Highland.
It will be possible if you use the Fuji Hakone Pass, go to Fuji-Q Highland, you can return to Shinjuku by bus from there, no extra charge.
