Strategy of visiting Biei in mid May 2014/4/26 22:06
My wife doesn't know how to cycle. Can I visit Biei in this way.

From Asahikawa to JR Bibahshi and then walk to JR Biei then back to Asahikawa by JR. Could anyone comment if this is a long walk say will take more than one hour and any scenic spot between that 2 JR station. Thanks.

Yes, but it is a rather long walk. Here is a suggested course that would take about 3.5 hours without stops:

You could, instead, make a circular walk, starting and ending at Bibaushi Station.

Or you could consider renting a car for a day:

Another option is to take a tour by taxi, but I suspect that there are not many English speaking drivers.
