Mount Takao

Hi, I will be in Tokyo for 4 days in August. I really want to see Mount Takao but I'm not sure whether its doable in half day. I plan to start early and leave my hotel (Shiba Park Hotel) around 7am and come back from Mount Takao at around 12noon to see other sights in Tokyo.

Would appreciate feedback from those that have been there.

To Takaosanguchi Station from Hamamatsucho Station takes about 1 hour 30 minutes by train. Then, it takes about one hour by cable car and walk up to the summit from Mt Takaosanguchi Station. If you go to its travel at a brisk pace, it will be come back to the 12:30 time to your hotel.

I would suggest to accelerate about one hour the starting time from your hotel. I think in August in Tokyo, so very hot, it is preferable to starting time to cool as possible is good.
