Kyoto bus with the JR pass 2014/6/1 18:14
Hi,

You mention that the JR pass can be used on the below mentioned bus.

Kyoto Station - Ryoanji - Takao

I am unable to dig up any more information. Like the stops on the way, periodicity of departures etc.

Could you please let me know.

Thankyou

Arukumachikyoto website is very useful but you must do the search by yourself.

Routemap:

http://www.arukumachikyoto.jp/rosen_info.php?lang=en

Select from the pulldown menu "West JR Bus" and "Takao Keihoku Line (via Ritsumeikan)". You can see the route map and will find the nearest bus stops.

Ninnaji Temple Omuro Ninnaji (Bus stop) (West JR Bus) Westbound

Ryoanji Temple Ryoanji Mae (West JR Bus) Westbound

Kinkakuji Temple Waratenjin Mae (West JR Bus) Northbound

Timetable:

http://www.arukumachikyoto.jp/bus_search.php?lang=en

Select "West JR Bus" and "Takao Keihoku Line (via Ritsumeikan)".

Select the starting bus stop and then select the destination bus stop from the pulldown menu and then press the "change" button.

Hope this helps.
