Narita to Tokyo Dome Hotel 2014/6/5 19:03
Hi everyone,

Could anyone suggest how to get to Tokyo Dome Hotel from Narita airport?
My flight arrival is on 9am.
I read in the limousine bus' website, there's no limo bus after 8am? And continued around 3pm.

Pls advise.

Hello, I wanted to email you to explain the route, but I did not know your email address.
So, I illustrated the route in this website.

how to get to Tokyo Dome Hotel from Narita airport?
My flight arrival is on 9am.

Route A / Route B shown below does not include a complicated railroad transfer.

If you take a "Narita Express" train, alternatively you can make a transfer to JR Chuo Line (Rapid / Chuo Special Rapid) in Tokyo Station and switch to a Local train in Ochanomizu Station at the same platform, and that is faster than Route A. However, the transfer in Tokyo Station is long and a little complicated, which is from a Sobu Underground Platform on the 5th basement to the Chuo Line Platform (for Tracks 1 and 2) above the ground.

irona: If want bus get off Tokyo station not so far.

It seems that limousine buses for Marunouchi exit of Tokyo Station are not available until 13:00 in Narita Airport.
Limousine buses for Yaesu south exit of Tokyo Station are available from the morning, and hopefully you can take one by 11:00. However, the Chuo Line Platform (for Tracks 1 and 2) is around the opposite end (near Marunouchi exit), and you need to walk on the south pathway in Tokyo Station.

irona: After Tokyo station take JR Chuo line then JR Sobu line trains at Ochanomizu station.

Suidobashi Station of JR, which is close to Tokyo Dome Hotel, is not on Sobu Line but on Chuo Line (pronounced like chew-all-line). Only Local trains make a stop there.

Most of JR Local trains around Ochanomizu Station run on both Chuo and Sobu Lines; their route is sometimes called Chuo Sobu Line: Mitaka / Nakano --[JR Chuo Line: Local]-- Ochanomizu -- [JR Sobu Line: Local]-- Chiba. (Please note that Kanda and Tokyo Stations are off the route.)

{Route A}

Note
: Route A requires about 2 hours.
: A foreign traveler can take trains on Route A for 1500 yen per adult with a NfEX Tokyo Direct Ticket.
http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/nex_oneway.html
: Seats of a JR-East "Narita Express" train need to be reserved.

: The current timetables for "Narita Express" trains are available on the website.
http://www.eki-net.com/pc/jreast-shinkansen-reservation/english/wb/com...
: According to the current timetable, Narita Express 6, 8, ..., 24 trains (leaving the airport during 08:10 - 13:20) are two-destination trains until reaching Tokyo Station, and each of them has a part bound for Shinjuku or Ikebukuro.

Narita Airport Sta. / Airport Terminal 2 Sta. (of JR-East)
| [JR lines: "Narita Express" train bound for Shinjuku or Ikebukuro]
Track 6: Shinjuku Sta.: Track 13
(Here in Shinjuku you can go down by escalator from the "Narita Express" platform to the concourse, follow signs for Track 13 and go up by escalator to the platform for Tracks 13 and 14.)
| [JR Chuo Line: Local]
Suidobashi Sta.: East Exit
| [Walk]
Tokyo Dome Hotel.

{Route B}

Note
: Route B requires about 1 hour 15 minutes.
: A regular railroad cost in total is 2630 yen (2470 yen on Keisei, 160 yen on JR-East) per adult when you use paper tickets.
: Seats of a Keisei "Skyliner" train need to be reserved.

| [Narita SKY ACCESS Line: "Skyliner" train]
Nippori Sta. (of Keisei)
--(transfer gate for JR lines)--
Nippori Sta. (of JR-East): Track 10
(Here in Nippori you can take a JR train at a car near its head so that you can make a transfer in Akihabara smoothly.)
| [JR Yamanote Linefs outer loop]

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your explanation.

Wheeww... So complicated. And this is my first time to japan. (Scarry)

Is there anyway simpler that include train and taxi? (Probably keisei line)
Pls advise.

If you don't mind a short walk, this is the easiest way.
At Tokyo station go up about 2 levels to the Marunouchi subway. Go 5 stops (10 mins.) to KORAKUEN station. It is on the north side of the Tokyo Dome. Your hotel is on the south side of Tokyo Dome.

I second the suggestion by Dick H to use subway from Tokyo Station.
I recommend taking a taxi if you choose subway Korakuen Station.
(Recently I used Korakuen Station and walked around it; I felt there were not enough signs for directions in Japanese or English.)

In Tokyo Station of JR, trains from NRT use tracks on the 5th basement. You can go up by either one elevator or two escalators (long then short) to the concourse on the 1st basement. Then you can find a sign for subway Marunouchi Line, and pass through a JR exit gate to a short pathway leading to subway Tokyo Station. Subway trains for Korakuen depart at Track 2.

(Probably keisei line)

The following route includes changing trains three times, but they are all simple.
Narita Airport / Airport Terminal 2
--[Keisei: Skyliner]-- Nippori --(transfer gate)-- Nippori: Track 10
--[JR Yamanote Line]-- Track 3: Kanda: Track 6
--[JR Chuo Line: (Special) Rapid]-- Track 1: Ochanomizu: Track 2 (beside the same platform)
--[JR Chuo Line: Local]-- Suidobashi.

Hi All,

Thanks a lot for your complete explanation.

I think i'm going to take either Omotenachi's or scrivener's suggestion. I will learn and print the map first. ^_^

Re: Narita to Tokyo Dome Hotel 2014/6/16 01:13
1) Take Keisei Sky Liner to Ueno(final destination) and then
2) take Taxi from Ueno to the Hotel. Ueno is 2km east of the Hotel. Taxi will cost around 1000yen.
I think this is the easiest.
